My main wish is a way to search the repositories on a node. Or a way to have tags. The whole network is like a blackbox of projects unless you can get an outside link.
History is full of people playing follow the leader, often to their own great cost. I needn't point out that there are a number of awful governments in this world in certain countries which cause their populations immense suffering, but which are being held together by the conformity of most of the populace. (North Korea for one.)
Most people where I live are not anti-establishmemt. Some are, but not the majority. I frequently hear people parrot whatever those in power tell them, via the mass media or whatever. They even do this in non-political areas of life too. I've lost count of the number of times I've heard sports discussions which I know have been lifted from that day's newspapers/broadcasting etc and presented as a person's own opinion. They're often not even good takes on a particular team or player, and aren't borne out when a match etc is played.
In your example you would be saying you want apple pie because it gives you all these vitamins. Then when told apple pie is not the answer and its actually kale you want them you immediately pivot to a different for ending up at apple pie.
Its the floating table. You knock all the legs of their argument down and their belief only gets stronger. They are not switched on.

No. I just want it. That's the part you don't seem to get. It's a preference. There's no reason or rationale that you can attempt to short-circuit with any fact.

They're not arguing with you. They're attempting to tell you that this is their preference. That they won't change their mind. Sometimes they're bad at it, can't articulate it. Other times they say this perfectly clearly... doesn't much matter, because you're not listening. You hear what you want to hear (like above, with "you think the apple pie has vitamins!").

It's not belief. That's actually frustration. And a little bit of spite.
Do you happen to know the video? I'm noticing a lot of channels putting out these history videos that tell a very anti us narrative because they leave out half the story.
