Do you still consider this an IDE? Curious

more than anything it's valid enough as a frame of reference for what many people want to do. if they went and invented a new term for it i'd reckon a lot of people just wouldn't even click on it

yes, this is tricky and something we’ve struggled with too. We chose IDE because the closest comp is probably VSCode - lots of folks seem to just use it for code browsing / review these days!

regardless, we ended up renaming “ide” -> “canvas” in on gh + website. hope that’s less confusing. will mull it over in the meantime.

CC with Jetbrain's IDE MCPs. get rid of those greps, seds, awks, heads and tails!

I have been having huge success with CC and HTMX+Go. Not even tailwind. It made me never want to touch React again; it eased my way into the simpler stuff.

Bluetooth + phone mounted next to the wheel worked nicely (and still does in older models). I wish I had this option still. Better, AUX instead of Bluetooth. It would be so fast to plug&play...

It indeed has. I now review code written by machines that sucks the life of me, read reports written by a machine, and overall have a miserable life as a software engineer. The pay is good so I'll keep on it for the time being, but you are damn right it changed, for the worse.
