And this slipped to 23rd position on the page.

2 hours ago and 609 upvotes and counting. Why is is at the 51st place and on the second page? Something is going on.

I've observed a strong correlation between the level of fundamental knowledge of computers (Linus, James Gosling, OP etc) and the level of AI psychosis. Guess which direction it is.

What do you expect from an app that’s built by not looking at the code?

Why is almost every RL paper done on Qwen-2.5 ? That decreases its credibility.

It makes it easier to compare with other papers. If two different papers apply different methods to different models and get different results, how do you know which method is better?

Once you have identified the best method and want to productize it, it would of course make sense to apply it on top of the best model, but if you're just doing research, you can skip that expensive last step.

In what way does using this model reduce the authors credibility?

Why would they cite a paper that’s not helping with their Tinker API that was released soon after? :)

I recently picked up my fountain pens after a 5 year hiatus. I used to collect them in my college years and continued using them in grad school. I loved the feeling of writing formulas on blank sheets of paper and pretending to look like a Physicist. But it all stopped after I began working with a computer. I started to collect HHKBs instead. I find it much easier to gather my thoughts and think logically and remember stuff when I’m writing with my hands.

There’s a running theme in my life that I prefer manual things. I enjoy practicing Olympic weightlifting, driving my 14 year old manual transmission and inking paper and tying with my HHKBs in Vim. To me, tools are the best when they feel like an extension of my physical body.

I would highly recommend Olympic weightlifting as a form of resistance training for those who are inspired by technical challenges.
