More of a vBulletin man myself, but I get what you mean. There were so many small, autonomous little niche communities and people took their time to learn how each one worked. Forums had their problems but I do think the time before upvotes/down votes was a very different dynamic, where not every judgment felt like it was being transmitted.

Most of the work is probably boring and not consequential on its own. But I think that's sepaerate from whether it's reasonable to encourage people to draw an ethical line. We probably wouldn't feel comfortable with someone who knowingly did work for the KKK, even if that work was just making photocopies, picking up office supplies, and keeping track of membership dues.

In particular, the isothermal heat exchange of the ideal Stirling cycle requires heat exchangers with no thermal resistance (and therefore no temperature difference). A latent heat pump has a much easier time to very closely approximate isothermal heat exchange because condensation/evaporation temperatures at a given pressure are essentially constant.

I think when they start hitting the top it's time to find threads without any possibility of Israel, Trump or Epstein possibly being brought up. I almost miss the old new-JS-framework complaint posts.

I can promise you ranty political one-liners about Israel (your mic drop Reddity comment) violates guidelines about bringing politics unnecessarily into the picture. I'm not insinuating you're astroturfing or shilling; I would say you're unfortunately real.
They are certainly not more robust than ever. The trend of screen glass extending all the way to the edge of the phone and around it has ensured that most people need a case. Back in the 2010s I never used one and my phone would survive many drops.
I think we are kidding ourselves if we think writing software was only accessible to the cognitive top 10%. And even if that were the case for the highly paid software jobs, there was a long tail of WordPress customization type jobs that required less experience and will probably be going away.
Sure but if the customer installs the app on their own computer how do companies charge them a recurring subscription fee? Adobe can get away with it but most cannot.
