Just because there's a huge amount of sensationalism doesn't change the fact that AI is created a huge amount of economic value in a vast number of applications over its ~6 decades.

That kind of ai is actual ai. No doubt THAT ai has progressed a lot. But the hype ai is just a wet dream for wannabe grahams.
