I started Varely because I didn't like the current way blogging was being handled. The idea of having to create a blog just to maybe post one thing occasionally didn't seem to make sense. I thought if it were possible to create a community feel around blogging where there is no onus on one person to blog, it would make people more likely to share. In that scenario everyone wins. Just for context, I have no CS background. I taught myself to program over the past year and change.
